Choral Arts Collective 2023 Annual Campaign

The vision of The Choral Arts Collective is of a community that celebrates excellence, diversity, and lifelong participation in choral music. Through our three resident choirs – Bel Canto Company, Greensboro Youth Chorus, and Gate City Voices – we create engaging, inclusive, and entertaining choral experiences for all.

The key to fulfilling our vision is community. Without the support of the community – partner sponsors, foundations, and most especially individual donors like you – we would not exist. This season, donations to the annual campaign account for nearly 30% of total revenue, more than ticket sales, hired performances, and student tuition combined! Simply put, your gift has major impact.

Contributions to the annual campaign do much more than help us balance the budget, they make a difference in our community, next season more than ever! In addition to underwriting the seasons of Bel Canto Company, Greensboro Youth Chorus, and Gate City Voices, your gift will support:

  • The first annual Greensboro Youth Chorus Summer Choir Camp in partnership with Guilford County Schools’ Summer Arts Institute, serving 140 students for two weeks in July.
  • A free workshop for more than 200 middle and high school students to prepare for honors choir auditions in August.
  • A new teaching artist residency in Guilford County Schools to provide weekly music instruction in elementary school classrooms.
  • Shout for Joy, a collaborative concert with the choir of NC A&T State University, bringing together 150 singers ages 14-70+ with a 25-player chamber orchestra for a March 2024 concert celebrating the music of Adolphus Hailstork and other underrepresented music by Black choral composers.
  • And creation of a new Greensboro Youth Chorus “Music Explorers” choir for children grades K-2.

Thank you for supporting lifelong choral music in the Triad! Together we will keep The Choral Arts Collective singing for many years to come.
